What do I do with an iPod nano?

I was very fortunate to win an iPod Nano (3rd Generation) but I’ve never consider myself to be an iPod type person. I have other mp3 and portable video devices but no iPods (until now).
My wife has a solution… It involves giving it to her. I’m looking for a good iTunes alternative. Maybe that will be enough for me to us it.
Any good reasons to use it over my Zune, my iRiver, or my wife’s sony walkman (mp3 stick not the original portable tape player)?

the cover flow on it is kind of cool. I guess that could be a reason to use it. also you can use it to play the free songs from itunes.
